We seek to empower victims and survivors of
tragic or traumatic circumstances
with emotional support and resources
to cope with the initial impact of the crisis.

Our Mission Statement

Kawartha/Haliburton Victim Services is a non-profit organization of trained volunteers,
working in partnership with Police, Emergency Services, and other community agencies
to provide immediate assistance and referral services
to victims and survivors of crime, trauma and tragic circumstances.

To lessen the trauma of victimization
To help victims cope with the impact of crime amd or tragedy
To assist and encourage the victim to connect with apporpriate community services
To give the community the opportunity to become more involved in dealing with the effects of crime and in mobilizing crime prevention in their area
To enable police/emergency services to be available sooner to help keep you and your community safer
