Funding

Kawartha/Haliburton Victim Services receives funding from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. While this is our primary source of funding, we also rely on fundraising activities and donations throughout the year to help cover the costs of providing victim services throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton.

Adopt-A-Volunteer

We are inviting local businesses, service groups, recreational clubs and individuals in the community to support us in our effort to provide victim services in our area. Through Adopt-A-Volunteer, you can sponsor one of our volunteers by covering their annual mileage and pager costs ($150/yr) or for an additional fee ($250/yr) you can also pay for the supplies in their volunteer kit which includes:

• Maps
• Flashlights
• Batteries
• Hammer
• Tape
• Latex gloves
• Road flares
• Snacks
• Children's toys and Books
• Dog biscuits
• Toiletries, etc...

We also welcome monetary donations of any amount, or you may be able to donate any of the supplies contained in the volunteer kit.
