Welcome to Kawartha/Haliburton Victim Services

Kawartha/Haliburton Victim Service (KHVS) works in collaboration with emergency services to provide immediate emotional and practical support to victims of crime and tragic circumstances. Crime, unfortunately, occurs at all hours. We are available to the police immediately, on-site, or over the telephone 24/7.

Our services are available to anyone of any age or gender identity living in Kawartha Lakes, Minden, and Haliburton, who identifies being a victim/survivor of crime. We respect that many victims are not interested in reporting crimes to police, or need support in doing so. We are here to help.

We seek to empower victims and survivors of crime and tragic circumstances with emotional and/or practical support and resources to cope with the impact of victimization. Early assistance and support, whether in-person or by telephone, may assist individuals to cope by reducing victimization, potential re-victimization, and empowering victims on their journey to recovery.
